It’s the customer’s responsibility to disconnect service, if necessary. If you’ll be away for an extended period of time, you can place your account on hold and we will disconnect your service for that period of time. Let us know a week before you return, and we’ll make sure your high speed Internet account is reactivated and ready to use.
ConnectNC doesn’t monitor customer usage, so we have no way of knowing that you’re not using it. Here are a few similar examples to help illustrate:
- Your newspaper subscription. If you go away for vacation, but don’t call to stop delivery, the newspaper will still be delivered. You will still receive a bill for your subscription.
- Cable or satellite TV services. Your account will still get billed, even if you’re not home to watch TV.
