If you are unable to send emails please check the following:


That you are using SMTP authetication if it is required. This will generally produce an error message when trying to send if it is not enabled.


Check for stuck messages in the outbox. Sometimes when you try to send a message and it does not send for whatever reason it will stay in the outbox. After time it can become corrupt therefore preventing any mail from going out. If you do see that messages are stuck in the outbox what you will want to do the following:

  1. Move all messages to the drafts folder.
  2. Once the outbox is empty do a send and receive to make sure there are no error messages.
  3. Go in to your drafts folder and send the messages one by one. Do not try to send all again at the same time. Send one wait until it leaves the outbox to send another.
  4. If you reach a message that will not send and others are sending fine, that message will need to be deleted and recreated.
